It is with great joy that I welcome you to Taichung for the FIABCI International Trade Mission 2026.

For me, this gathering is especially meaningful. As FIABCI World President, it is always a privilege to meet our members and friends from around the world. But this time, welcoming you here in Taichung makes the occasion feel much closer to my heart.

Many of you have travelled a long way to be with us, and I sincerely hope that during your stay, you will experience not only what Taichung has achieved, but also the warmth, culture, and hospitality that make this city so special.

Taichung is a city where innovation and tradition, development and nature, technology and humanity continue to meet and shape one another. It is therefore a fitting place for us to explore the theme of this Trade Mission: “The New Urban Future – Beyond Technology, Toward Humanity.”

As our cities and our industry continue to change, technology will undoubtedly play an increasingly important role. Yet I have always believed that technology itself is never the final goal. What truly matters is how we use innovation to create better places for people to live, to connect, and to build their lives.

Ultimately, real estate is about people.

Through our forums, business exchanges, networking opportunities, and visits throughout Taichung, I hope we will not only share professional knowledge and discover new opportunities, but also deepen friendships, understand one another better, and create relationships that will continue long after this Trade Mission comes to an end.

This, to me, is one of the greatest values of FIABCI: bringing people together across countries, cultures, and professions, and turning connections into friendship, collaboration, and shared possibilities.
