Requirements
- A passport with remaining validity of at least six months as of the date of entry*Holders of Belizean, Eswatini, Nauru, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucian and Tuvalu Passports with place of birth recorded on the passport data page as: Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, the People’s Republic of China, Syria and Yemen are ineligible for the visa exemption. *Holders of Honduran passport with “place of birth” recorded on the passport data page as the People’s Republic of China are also ineligible for the visa exemption.
- A confirmed return air/sea ticket or air/sea ticket and a visa for the next destination, and a confirmed seat reservation for departure flight.
- Holders of Brunei, Philippines and Thailand passports must have: A proof of accommodation (hotel) booking, host / sponsor’s contact information and sufficient travel funds.
Remarks
- Within three days prior to arriving in Taiwan, please complete an online immigration arrival card (https://twac.immigration.gov.tw ) on the website of the National Immigration Agency.

E-VISA
- Participants who aren’t eligible for visa-empty entry MUST apply for E-visa in advance.
- Nationals of the following countries are eligible for an eVisa when they meet relevant criteria: Argentina, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dominica, Ecuador, Haiti, Kuwait, Mauritius, Montenegro, Oman, Panama, Peru, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates
- As the application must be submitted at least one month prior to the conference, participants who complete registration after the application deadline may unfortunately no longer be eligible for assistance from the Secretariat regarding the e-Visa Entry arrangement, even if required.
Remarks
- Foreign nationals who intend to travel to Taiwan but are not eligible for an eVisa must fill in a form under General Visa Applications on the website of the Bureau of Consular Affairs and submit this application form to an ROC overseas mission.
- Before arriving in Taiwan, please complete an online immigration arrival card on the website of the National Immigration Agency.
